Getting Started
Install in Discord
Add Lockit to your Discord server and use the /lockit slash commands.
Install
- Open the Lockit Discord install link.
- Choose the server to add it to. You need the Manage Server permission on it.
- Click Authorize.
Lockit joins the server and its /lockit commands become available.
Commands
On Discord, Lockit works through slash commands only. Type /lockit and Discord
shows the options. Resource names autocomplete as you type, and replies come with
buttons for the next step.

/lockit lock resource:staging-db duration:2 hours | Locks it for you for two hours |
/lockit release | Releases your lock |
/lockit list | Lists every resource and whether it's free |
duration takes plain times like 2 hours or 30 minutes, and also times of
day like till 6pm. Leave it out to use the resource's default (see
Lock durations and defaults).
/lockit new sends lock and release updates to the channel you ran it in. Run it
in the channel your team watches.
Resource names
- Names match regardless of case:
Staging-DBandstaging-dbare the same resource. - Names can be up to 50 characters.
