Troubleshooting

Lockit doesn't respond

You sent a command and nothing came back. Check these in order.

Slack

1. Is Lockit in the channel? Lockit only answers in channels it's a member of. Type /invite @Lockit in the channel and try again.
2. Did you mention it? Lockit only reads messages that mention @Lockit. Make sure the mention turned into a real mention (highlighted) and wasn't typed as plain text. Pick Lockit from the list Slack shows as you type.
3. Is the command spelled right? Send @Lockit help to see the commands.
4. Is Lockit still installed? Look for Lockit under Apps in the Slack sidebar. If it's gone, install it again.

Discord

1. Type /lockit and check that Discord shows Lockit's commands. If it doesn't, Lockit isn't on this server: install it.
2. Lockit on Discord only answers slash commands. A message mentioning the bot does nothing.
3. Check that Lockit can see and post in the channel. Channel permission overrides can hide a channel from the bot.

Microsoft Teams

• In a channel, start the message with @Lockit.
• In a one-to-one chat with Lockit, send the command without the mention.
