Private channel updates not arriving

Lock and release updates aren't showing up in a private Slack channel.

Lockit can only post in a private channel it's a member of. Selecting the channel on the resource isn't enough on its own.

Fix it

  1. Open the private channel in Slack.
  2. Type /invite @Lockit and send it.
  3. Lock and release the resource once to check. The update should appear in the channel.

If it still doesn't arrive, check the resource is pointed at that channel:

  1. Send @Lockit edit <name>.
  2. Look at Add the channel to get the lock release/lock updates. Pick the channel again if it's empty or wrong.
  3. Click Edit Resource.

Next time

When creating a resource with a private updates channel, invite Lockit to the channel before you select it in the form.
